Abstract:
<\/strong><\/p>\n

Under the artistic direction of important personalities from \u201dthe great scene\u201d of European performing arts (pianist Luiza Borac and violinist Florin Paul), accompanied by pianist Shih \u2013 Yu Tang and violinist Sorin Dumitru from the Konstanz Musikschule (Germany), the first edition of The International Festival \u2013 Competition of Modern and Contemporary Music, held in June 28 \u2013 30, 2023 and dedicated to a genius of European avantgarde music, Gy\u00f6rgy Kurt\u00e1g from Lugoj, was, in terms of the composition of the jury and the value of the competitors, in the area of excellence. This material aims to provide a brief presentation of this event as well as the visit carried out by members of the Banat Culture Association to the composer Gy\u00f6rgy Kurt\u00e1g \u2018s present home, in Budapest.<\/p>\n
