Abstract:
The subject of research on this topic was the Ivanden ritual processions and ritual singing in the Gorna Prespa ethnic area. By using special research techniques and methods, relevant data was obtained for the topic in question. The research focused on demonstrating the continuity of their periodic active performance as well as the religious aspects of these ritual processions. The main emphasis was placed on the comparative analysis of the Ivanden rites in rural and urban environments. Special attention was also given to the ritual props. Even today, the Ivandenki are part of the living ritual tradition, and with that, there is a tendency to ensure their greater revival with adaptation for stage performance.
